ambitious assassin is a perk that overflowed the mag when reloading after a kill (think carnage cartridge on leg implants)
kill clip is a perk that increased damage for a short time when reloading after a kill (currently don't have an equivalent in marathon)

as you can imagine
a rocket (which has limited mag size and primarily used for high-health targets) doesn't benefit much from on-kill-reload perks (because they are primarily activated on low-tier enemies (which you aren't killing with expensive ammo like rockets))

so the idea is that the perk combination was so bad on the weapon it was on it was basically worse than garbage

which is kinda like the copperhead

if you take it expect to die because all it does is tickle your enemies

I think the best strat for V7 is to bumrush control (stay on your side) and go to the far side and listen for players. Find a way to catch them off, either by rushing into them or setting up an ambush with a fuckton of nades.

That'll help kickstart your clearance, then you MAY be able to lurk around to finish up to 4

yeah I think it's a combo of all. The catch off guard works for the really good players. It gives you upper hand. So getting some clearance, rushing ANYONE on the far side of your control, then panopticon

going into panopticon usually has 2 terminals and there should be like 1-2 terminals in pump warden region so thats like 3-4 for 12 pips + 6 for wardens themselves which doesn't count any cmdrs killed along the way

Apart from that, while you're playing, actively think about everything that is happening and every little decision you make. Keep reminding yourself "where am I? where am I exposed to? what am I hearing? what are my nearest options for cover?". Also, generally, keep reminding yourself to position your crosshair where enemies are most likely to pop up. Yes, that shit is exhausting and might make things more difficult in the beginning, but they become habits faster than you think if you just keep actively thinking about those things.

Marathon is one of the sweatier games. And considering it is bleeding players it mostly has the sweats left. So, yeah, you are at a disadvantage. A lot of stronger opponents. It sucks

Truth be told gold is average at best. basically below average. idk about marvel rivals but in overwatch and other games including even league which is not a shooter gold is nothing to be proud of. I mean even if more people are in gold or silver or whatever, unless people are in high gold or plat, they don't even mention their rank.

You sure need practice. including just wiring your brain to track multiple things etc. this is very discouraging and I honestly don't think it can be improved upon in a snap of the finger. To become a player I am now took years of playing all sorts of pvp shooters. And most of it is just sheer amount of practice, it's not like I am some sort of a talented learner or something. Just the blunt amount of experience makes it natural. Just as a bit of a background I never got into competitive rivals, but in overwatch I reached low-Master at some point. And usually it's diamond-master in other shooters for me

Always place your crosshair exactly where your opponent is going to pop up. If you see an expected opponent and he is in your crosshair, that's perfect crosshair placement. For starters you can just focus on always keeping it on the upper torso level.

Tracking your teammates' positions is paramount in extraction shooters. You should be aware of their position as much as possible. Start with just tracking if they are behind or to your side. Listen for the directional audio. If it doesn't come from their direction, that's an enemy.

If you die in a fight, don't default to blaming teammates or rubberbanding or whatever. No doubt, sometimes ultimately it may be their fault. But in the end, you lost a 1v1 where you and someone faced each other. And your actions led to this situation. Backtrack them, find where it all went wrong.

I use a not very pleasant mindset of always blaming myself for losing a round or whatever. Not really worth it in OW or Rivals because you can't really solo everyone simply due to the size of the health pools. But in CS, Siege, stuff like that, Marathon included, if you play it perfectly, it is far from unreal to clutch. In CS and Siege it just takes you 5 headshots to win the round. That's all you need. Lost the round? Didn't do your job, could do better. That's basically how I think. Every time I died in Marathon I died because I didn't play well enough. Doesn't matter if my teammates all died alone or not. I could separate the enemies and get a jump on them, but I failed

LMG shield mod depletion can stop the gun from firing, like wtf? In almost the end of the video where the shield got auto switched off due to depletion, you can see that I did another crouch maneuver. The LMB was pressed all the time during the last crouch but the gun is not firing. You can see it the mag went from 23 to 22 and just stopped there. I thought the mag was empty but after checked video it clearly shows there were 22 shots left in it.

v22 is the most ammo efficient weapon you can bring to cryo, put a green/blue mag on it, the chip can be extra damage against uesc

it costs 1k to setup, all the attachments are in traxus shop, you can buy like 10 a day

has homing projs, no headshot damage so no aim needed, just spray em down, you can get blue or purple v22's from mobs in cryo

That is just one guy's opinion though. I think that a lot of cheaters probably cheat because "everyone else is cheating" when in reality is probably 10% or less of the playerbase.

What you guys don't see on this video is that I was afk at the beginning a bit. While during this time, my teammate went to interception roof to scout and then he got burst down through a tiny hole by a guy that never peaked that corner (so no info on him) and just instantly peaked and aimbot him to narnia.

At that point we were like, should we go pull back and avoid that cheater team... And then you see the push from that assassin.

Also I'm not saying anything about that sniper. Because the guy who downed him first was another guy that wasn't in the clip. It wasn't that assassin. So there were 2 cheaters on team.

Just once i'd like to be on the other side of these crazy zero to hero runs. Killing people takes skill but what your enemy has equipped is pure luck.

There have been a few times where i've gone in with a green kit and exfil with blues and some purples. That's about it.

most of my outpost zero to hero runs that pay out are just rushing reds and conveyance and going up with assassin ult, sometimes with zero pvp involved in the entire run

rush conveyance so you know nobody else has it, then start checking red spawns and if 2 are taken then try to figure out where they are likely to get the 3rd and jump them there

if they are untaken you just pick them up and go up conveyance obv

assassin ult slides off the elevator itself but you can place it on the boxes you climb up to get on the elevator instead and the cloud will cover the elevator

then just pop stealth once the elevator is about to go past the cloud and stand very still
