i rly enjoy the railgun now, personally im not a fan of the sniper scopes, because they limit your view a lot, the railgun doesnt have a scope that really encloses your view

I will say once again, I think WSTR two tapping all shields is a bit much.

As much as I feel bad for Rooks, it's like- I have seen that shotgun in almost every engagement before the nerf, now people are using more varied guns they probably never actually tried before the WSTR.

If there is a point where a gun, or any weapon for that matter- becomes the defacto option for engagements, and anything less is considered "throwing", there might be something wrong with how engagements are being played, or the gun is too strong to be ignored.

The WSTR was a delete button for all grades of shields. While that gave lower shielded players a pretty good way to get some advantage and actually be able to fight back in some engagements-

What would be the point in bringing higher grade shields if you die in the same number of shots?

There should be some breakpoint where the game can acknowledge that you're geared enough not to die so easily. And you likely earned that right.

so a purple shield has 200hp total, requring all 100% of pellets to land without falloff to kill instantly, blue has 180hp, so requires 90% (of the 200 max potential) to kill a blue shielded enemy

The gun was already strong in killing anything within its effective range in 2 shots. You're adding an element of RNG to it that, while well meaning, will more than likely result in people thinking there's something wrong with hit registration.

Unless they're very close up to each other, or in a close quarters map, there's a very low chance all pellets will hit the target, and that's even assuming the Tiger engine even counts "pellets" or counts the relative cone to calculate its damage.

Most people are not going to be that up close to the gun for your idea to work properly. They'll probably ditch it for the more consistent, more ammo holding Misriah for close range engagements than a WSTR.

It's not so much I think people or players are like....crippingly dumb- it's that when you're in an active engagement, you're going to be more concerned about what will kill your enemy before they kill you.

That change will likely not make the WSTR more balanced, and probably just make people utterly abandon it if there's RNG involved in its pellets.

A more detailed answer, you get to spawn halfway into the run, by then other teams are dead so free loot, loot rooms are probably open, dead bots are free loot. You can get lucky and beat a team to loot them (not recommended). Rook is just a way to get fast money without having to risk fighting other teams

On the topic of cheating, I have noticed I do a lot better in ranked at certain hours and a lot worse at other hours. The hours I am more successful/less successful seem to correlate with what hours are daytime for another country in the world.

I did record a very blatant incident of cheating yesterday and submitted a ticket to bungie with the recording, not just in-game report. We will see if the person gets banned or not i guess

I have had a similar experience, most randoms are very chill, but some think their whole world has ended when they lose.
A lot of time they are mad at themselves but cant take the blame, I recommend if you are playing with Randoms just bring general contracts and do the main ones with friends or solo.
Main contracts are more complicated and require that you focus on specific tasks that can take the whole match to complete. So some randoms would not be happy to have their whole run dedicated to doing your quest.

So I've found that most things don't seem to give XP. Completing contracts and exfil don't seem to. They give reputation, but not XP. It seems to be only opening containers and killing things actually gives xp. As for solo vs group, I'm not sure that group play necessarily gives more. It would give more if everyone spread out so you could loot and kill very effectively, but that isn't usually how it goes. The other issue is that you are way more likely to get into fights in group play, which can lead to long drawn out periods of repositioning and healing and not actually looting or killing.

Good thing is, basically all you have to do is infil, loot and kill everything, and then you don't even have to make it out alive.

I think you get 10 runs a week where you get 50 + 50% xp. So, if you just infil, hide, and run to extract, that's already 75xp on its own.

Drone Wing is one of the high priority sections of Pinwheel on Outpost. It has one high end strongbox among adds, sometimes a secured resource that spawns like 8 commanders, and one of the buttons that unlock Command Wing, another high-priority section of Pinwheel

The "locked in" bug only happens on one of the later Mida contracts, I forget the exact number and name cause I haven't done much Mida stuff, they're a super low priority faction for me

Idk, feels good to me, it felt good to me before, too. As player skill improves and people adapt to stuff, we learn the most effective tactic for each piece of equipment. Right now wstr and knives work very well together, follow up wstr shots with the knife. You can't guarantee you'll hit every pellet from every shot of the wstr to begin with, so I was doing that before the nerf anyways, it feels the exact same to me and I still do my part in teamfights

i can't even lie my only complaint with the spawnrushing is not because of the spawnrushing itself but because bungie has decided to make the security terminal spawn rng instead of dedicated. One team can get level three in 3 minutes and I'm still stuck here trying to get a third keycard

when you spawn rush on outpost or dire, it's fair. You all spawn in the same open area and the same "chances" of running into someone but when you spawn into a locked room that has dogshit terminal rng and the team next to you has 15 spawn in the same corner then it gets fucking ridiculous

I don't think the rng of it is healthy at all, at least not until you clear the first room. Spawns are isolated for a reason and the rng of terminals and clearance drops/spawns just doesn't feel good. There needs to be a skill check involved, not an rng check
