the v11 actually sucks guys, its not the most versatile and cheap weapon in the whole game, you totally shouldnt tap regular guys in the head twice with it and then use charged shots to deal with tankier enemies and players because its actually useless

i forget what game it was, but 95% of all cheaters ran linux. I love linux, i use it personally myself, but until some form of kernel based anticheat (especially if it was valve developed and zero trust with a gaming dedicated kernel) is developed for linux, and not run through wine, supporting linux is just giving your game away for free to cheaters. if you are a linux gamer, and want to play anticheat games in a way that respects your computer and your privacy, use console. buy a series s for 150 quid or something.

I think its a valid point that TTK is too fast. a simple HP increase in the literal numbers, and maybe a code buff to shields instead of defining them by hit points equivalent to the hit points as an add-on, extremely simple coding. The issue lies with players wanting to be able to recover from mistakes or when they get dropped on, and when theres a stealth class that is pretty well cloaked id say its necessary with the average playerbase

I agree with you, im simply stating that this is all great for higher tiered players at a later date, people just getting in and being tossed in with none of these items is simply just not a good thing when the TTK is so quick. It doesn't allow for an engaging gun fight if you can't peel and someones up on your ass, it also doesn't allow for enough time to assess a situation before you are dead. Even in GZW which has a quick TTK as well you can take quite a few shots before you are dead, many more than this game. I'm not comparing this game to ARC as much as I am games like tarky and GZW. building loadouts is not something a casual will struggle with anyway, they do the same kind of things in rougelikes, the difference is all the cognitive load for loadoutbuilding occurs in one moment. this game has a very similar game experience to a rougelike, where you might enjoy a playstyle only once, and the fun you have with it is increased because you have to adapt to new things.

I have 10 hours in the server slam and over 200 hours in arc bozo. The artstyle and lore is really awesome and carries the game but the actual gameplay and gunplay is just not good. Having hero shooter aspects in an extraction shooter is an incredibly poor design choice. Half the guns are incredibly overtuned or untertuned and you either 2 shot someone or dump 200 bullets into them. The ux is also incredibly not newplayer friendly and the objectives in the game are just rinse and repeat from every other extraction shooter and doesnt innnovate in anyway

You are expected to figure out the item you're looking for prior to going in.

Look at the different map area and focus on just those things that stack from the specific category you're after.

They expect you to only carry one gun in because otherwise you'll never have space to loot a good weapon from another player or you'll need to trade theirs for one of the ones you brought in.

In arc Raiders your can leave with many weapons if you win lots of fights. Here you're always leaving things behind.

I think they went with hero based extraction to make the unique compared to other extraction, brings in more depth then selecting a character model and then that’s it. Bring in the hero based format along with build crafting gives us a reason to really think about how we play and want to play the game.

I don’t think the guns are the problem I think it’s the TTK that needs to be changed or tweak.

The UX is fairly simply to understand we as players just don’t want to spend much time in them.

Plus every extraction game is rinse and repeat. Every battle Royal is rinse and repeat. Arc raiders is rinse and repeat…I’m not surprise people feel this way but what are we expecting in a EXTRACTION SHOOTER.

i think thats a good thing too, but my point is they need something for the player to log in, pvp minimally like 1 or 2 encounters, and get out with there loot. otherwise you fall into the 20% of sucsesfull extraction the game trys to play around and get burned out.
