Having a universally identical container for every death means it's instantly recognisable in any environment is a universally good design choice from a gameplay perspective. The only reason to get rid of it would be for realism sake, which marathon really doesn't seem to be targeting for.

I don't think body decay should be linked to looting them, its should be about how long the body has been on the ground. If you see fresh bodies, you know action happened recently. If you see a bunch of decayed ones, they've been there for a while. Then you should make the decision whether its worth risking trying to loot them.

Having them decay dependent on loot level seems quite weird, because how is a body doing that when you take its gun away? Very weird.

The implementation of anticheat is relatively basic, but on Linux, there are countless easy ways to completely bypass it and make it think that everything going on client-side is legal.

I feel that's an important point, the game has been memed somewhat even in the mainstream so people are probably skeptical. Bungie's free trial weekend before launch is a neat idea to convince those that are interested but are scared due to all the fuss that was made. Yes I totally agree, I think that it would add so much more atmosphere to the main menu than just the runner standing or walking. It could also be a combination of the dialogue with the sponsor and the room as a displayed menu when you have the choice to either go in your inventory, active contracts, runner deck, shop and they could add some transition like if you're on the chair/sofa and you click on contracts then the camera would turn 180° to the TV which would turn on with your sponsor talking to you.

Yess that open preview is basically “how the game is going to look like at launch.” To show if everybody likes the game before buying it and for those that pre order to show them look this is how it’s going to look at launch. February 27th should be when the open preview should start.

A open preview is before launch which is the 27th and will last all the way to Sunday or Monday one of those days bc March 5th falls on a Thursday. They want to allow time for ppl to process if they like the final product and for content creators/streamers to show it off and etc

Yea a weekend before launch so the 27th on that weekend. They’re not going to polish up the game or anything like that. It’s basically to show what the final product looks like before they launch it. If that was the case then it would’ve been an open beta.

heyo, I went ahead and got the collectors edition for steam today - like a dummy I refreshed the page with the order confirmation # and other things.

I went to my email to check if the confirmation email went through, so I could grab the code and add it to steam, but it's not there.

The website says "WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TO RESOLVE A KNOWN ISSUE IMPACTING THE TIMING OF ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAILS." but It's been about 15 mins and I'm a little concerned if it went through or not.

Charge has appeared on my card so I'm guessing it will just take time, but does anyone else have a similar experience and know how long I should wait?
