1. Safety / degradation
   Running a 14900K at 90–95 °C under Intel PL / stock behavior is within spec and not damaging. TJmax is 100 °C. These CPUs are designed to sit near that under load. Long-term degradation is driven by sustained voltage/current density (electromigration), not temperature alone. If stock CPUs were degrading just from sitting in the 90s, Intel would be dealing with mass RMAs — they aren’t.

2. Cooling / performance headroom
   Yes, better cooling = lower temps = higher sustained clocks.
   That does not mean the chip is being harmed. It just means it may be thermally limiting boost a bit.

Those are not the same argument.

Server comparisons also don’t apply here. Datacenters run cooler for uptime, predictability, rack density, and efficiency — not because 80–90 °C is unsafe silicon behavior.

So the correct takeaway is:

90 °C is safe and within spec

I was more meaning in terms of lore and keeping up with the story as seasons progress. As I understand that's a big part of what makes Destiny so hard to get into - you straight up cannot follow the plot through due to sunsetted content. Gameplay wise in Marathon sure you just pick a shell and start popping heads and gathering loot, but I imagine that would be a better experience in terms of immersion if you had a good grasp on the context of who you are and why you're doing it. It'd be confusing jumping into season 4 of a sci-fi show and not being able to go back.

Anyone who hasn't played apex: This is actually weirdly super true. It's on a lesser level than this will apparently be, but it really does prove that lore is fully possible in a match-based pvp game, even one less comitted to immersion. Voice lines, environments, events, descriptions, and the occasional cinematic are definitely enough to keep an interesting plot going, at least for periods. It's had low points. So imagine what proper quests, audio logs, terminals, on top of all that will do. It'll be great.

Now it's not good lore. Even when it was interesting it wasn't very well written. But it worked, and that's kinda all we need, given bungie rarely fails too bad on the writing department

I’m of the opinion that all of this is the product of a massive retcon that happened after shadowkeep, so it all hurts, whether or not they’ve made it internally continuous. I think a lot of choices in the lore happened because of laziness or corporate pressure rather than what was actually best.

My question is are they going to improve controller and kbm, I play both on d2 and they aren’t great, there is no way to toggle raw input or a way to use ether 100% monitor distance or focal length scaling on your scopes which sucks a lot, and for controller there isn’t a away to have desired curves, there is a horrible ads multiplier range we should able to go lower to 0.1 with more decimal numbers available for something like 0.48. 0.56. Or 0.82, also destiny sensitivity maxes out on 9 and anything higher just gives faster acceleration on controller

aim and optics are one thing. I like the old-school universal adjustments, but I feel like they worked because they took that into consideration. What kbm do prefer a lot is using 0% which uses the screen center, since you using the screen center the sensitivity scales based on the focal lengths of the fov

Battlefield and Fortnite can do ether but apex is stuck on focal length, and destiny is stuck on 100% monitor distance

And that’s why a lot of people use 0.8 ads on kbm because it similar to focal length scaling but not quite because snipers are still a little fast

Focal length scaling allows for proper tracking on kbm because of this

Make playing the game a little easier. Helps you progress faster helps you craft.Items that are needed for quests or ammo or armor et cetera. Also can be a money making option to craft things. If there's a gym inside trkov, to increase your strength. Also gives you more things that you want to extract with to upgrade your height out a k.The whole point of an extraction shooter
