This is actually a test, not the game.

I don’t know how it matches up to the original Alpha, and there are some things I hope get streamlined or changed but I actually think i might buy the game on full release. My thoughts as a game enjoyer, is that it actually was one of the best things. The game not being ready isn't why, though... it was a test, and much was removed from the game for that test. Everything they had ready wasn't in it. The reason I think it ended up being a positive is because the art thing got noticed early on, and so they could make it right and fix it, instead of the game being pretty much done, ready to release, then an open play test before release reveals it... thus requiring them to completely redo everything when it's already done

Having played too much Eve Online I think this is a big misconception, the spreadsheet stuff is definitely a really important part of it, but crucially not everyone has to be a spreadsheet guy. I don't do the spreadsheet or industrial stuff at all and still held leadership positions within orgs.

The whole phenomena of people telling tales about the game is the lasting relationships consequences. You spend an awful lot of time gaining resources and cultivating friendships to learn skills and get into gated groups. No Black market/Auction house, No ammo tiers, shared quests progression, Sharing higher tier Materials across the team, Character builds with the Shells/mods. Game isn't a cookie cutter mil-sim and has a nice aesthetic (at least imo), I like the difficulty of the AI, Deluxe items are a cool thing I haven't seen in another Extraction shooter

I can't go in-depth cause NDA but Marathon is doing something different idk why people act like they aren't. Every other fps extraction shooter worth talking about (besides maybe hunt showdown if it's worth talking about) is a Mil-sim tarkov wannabe or just made more casual.

Marathon and Arc are both doing something different and needed, I'm just not as concerned with Arc cause I don't like the 3rd person perspective and the gunplay feels worse than marathon

I mean what we do know is it was about the 5th time they got caught using art. Most notably a cutscene in D2 and the physical NERF Ace of Spades replica which was only colour changed.
In both the cutscene and some the assests here there were a number of the art team who were following those creators.
That's why it blew up, there's only so many times before it looks like a pattern of behaviour.

True, I mean we don't know how many more technical tests they can run. From past experiance things get pulled back or changed much like Marathon has though there is a limit on what's in stone and what isn't at a certain point it's fine tuning. Proberbly the next round will be server stress before open beta IMO

The only thing I can say about the RX570 is you have really low VRAM on that thing at 4GB, it's possible it can't hold the shaders and is doing a metric ton of swapping

You can try that would lower the shader size, as for the 1050ti I don't know what they are using for shader optimisation since some functions work better than others. Nvidia despite the core changes is relatively stable since 700 series of cards. Polaris wasn't exactly the most bullet proof generation of cores and tended to function better under Vulkan. A lot of engines now are geared towards RDNA not GCN, it's why you see RX5xxx minimums a lot of the time
