I feel this playtest has been much better, it has kept my attention, it feels better to play, it can be played solo, all huge bonuses I tihnk. Still, my biggest question moving forward is goals. Where do they see this game, what is your core gameplay loop going to look like to keep people coming back, etc etc. Obviously it's an extraction shooter, and those mechanics feel pretty good, but I don't think that there's much outside of that that would hold a player base for long, especially a PAID experience. It a shame because I do think they have systems in place here do make this game FEEL really good, but I can't see myself dumping hundreds of hours into it currently which to me is a real a concern for a game like this, especially so when no one can even talk about that good parts

I think I would agree with that if I hadn't played the original series! I think for those new to the IP or Bungie as a whole will most likely have a good time decoding whats currently there, but I do think that still needs to be fleshed out more. Coming from the original series I still think that there's some questions (mainly cause those games get super confusing), but I don't think there's as much mystery for those familiar with the original Marathon

Now I will say, those games are very hard to pick up for the modern audience, in my opinion at least, so I'm not sure how large that crowd will be lol
