If you're on Steam and still have the game in your library from back during the earlier Alpha, it should've changed from "Marathon Closed Alpha Test" to "Marathon Closed Technical Test", which means you got accepted.

fair take, i really enjoyed the drop in almost quick match nature of matches during the non-NDA alpha, had a couple issues with pacing and maps tho. Just wish it was more drawn out if that makes sense. It really felt like in most of my lobbies whoever got a headstart towards the other team, and ignored looting in general, could turn the whole match into basically team deathmatch until the entire lobby was dead lol. Although maybe that was just me, cuz it felt the most worth to just beeline in across the relatively small maps.

im hoping there are more options for solo play eventually too, cuz i love being a solo rat in games. Just felt hard cuz of the shields and stuff to really overcome. Hunt its so easy to outplay teams, since its one hit headshots

I got to play the alpha in April for a bot. There are lots of Destiny DNA bits in Marathon. I am half convinced a dev gave Locus a "twilight garrison" air dash intentionally following the meltdown people had years ago.(like "haha, you want to have a meltdown temper tantrum over this not being added to d2. I will just put in in this new game instead.")(I don't actually think a dev did this, but I would be delighted if that was actually a partial rationale)

The more you look, the more similarities and borrowed elements you can find.

That said they are different games. Cousins that might be a little more closely related in feel, than destiny to halo. But still distinct.

If you like Destiny gunplay, you will probably like Marathon as well. Bungie continues making great feeling shooters. That said, Marathon is a bit slower with the abilities available and ttk, to fit the stakes of the genre.

Marathon is not a replacement for destiny, but it can scratch some similar itches time from time. I look forward to how both games can inspire and benefit each other feature wise.

No, I don’t think you can check access, but codes are supposedly going out at some point today. Access also isn’t guaranteed if you were in the closed alpha, so anyone could be chosen.

I have had a code sitting in my game codes for the new test since the update where they stated certain alpha players would get access again

nothing was revoked on steam and my stuff changed over and i got a code sitting there

assuming if you did the first alpha and none of it was revoked you got that code

My expectations of getting a code are actually pretty low because we are talking about bungie here. They send codes to people that play for a hour and delete the game. 👀💀

I would love to try it. I was more excited for marathon than I was for arc. I was able to put 45 hours into the weekend server slam. Absolute cinema. Almost a perfect extraction shooter. Hoping bungie pulls the thumb out the bum and just drops their game already would love to see what they fixed

Bruh, when you go onto the bungie site and click on your profile there is a redeem codes tab under digital rewards, if you got into the alpha back in april the not NDA'd one, you have a "game codes" tab inside the "redeem codes" tab, the game codes tab is the one where people got their codes for the first alpha test
