We’ll see. So many extraction shooters coming out this/next year. So charging for a game already puts it at a disadvantage. But honestly, having “infinite revives while squad is alive” is one of the biggest draws. DMZ was shallow other than the combat, but the combat loop was so good. (Minus dropping squads to get revived).

I think $40 is a fair price (especially compared to other games like BF6) and I would argue that the benefit of having some form of paywall is that it helps deter people from cheating as much. Extraction shooters already have a massive cheating problem so this would help mitigate that issue.

I want marathon to do well as it reminds me of my favorite show LDR but the minute I saw the trailer the controversy around the art came about. I’ve already asked if this has been fully addressed but this was months ago and no update. I want the game to be amazing. But I can’t in good conscience play the game if it was stolen.
