It would be clunky at best - either it's default off, and only very few use it in which case what's the point, or default on, which comes with a toxicity risk which they've said they want to avoid. Being able to quickly and easily send and accept or deny a voice channel request using pings gives you those dynamic social moments like negotiating truces without having to put up with some idiot with his music going and mum yelling at him. Or open to slurs from everyone. It's a good compromise 🙂

I've heard from others "just don't compromise" but that's not really working to solve some valid concerns, just saying they're not important which isn't really useful :/

Look at the end of the day wipes are important for this genre. Forces you to use your stuff and try to reach a certain goal before the wipe. Then when it wipes it’s like you’re playing for the first time again just wi th experince and then you keep growing and then you keep playing.
