i mean checking for your ammo count only makes sense in a world at or before modern day, tbh; in a future where you are very much cybernetically enhanced and connected to everything you're using being able to see that information in a HUD just fits with the theme and setting. it also doesn't make sense to have ammo management in that sense be a main mechanic considering the theming here is very different from a game like Tarkov where you're scrounging and scavenging whereas here you're a corporate mercenary, presumably relatively well equipped

The problem with DMZ and so many other extraction shooters is that the loot is ass, boring, and just makes number go up. There MUST be some crazy items that are a "holy shit" moment when you find them (not every 10 raids, not every 20, but every 50 or 60 raids, assuming you know where to look. Those crazy chase items and the fights and adrenaline that surround them are what keeps people playing IMO.

I agree, it just needs to be legitimately hard, or something rare enough that the chase is fun. I've played a lot of Tarkov, and even more hunt showdown. Hunt has fun enough pvp to keep me invested, but the reality in that game is that loot doesn't fucking matter at all. There's no wipes, and anyone decent has a gazillion dollars so you just build whatever you want whenever you want.

Seasons will help with that too, + I think there's a significant restriction on buying certain things from what I've heard where you have to find X thing in raid, no other choice.
