It's not that complex. We need more standard contracts that the player can progress without needing to exfil. Cyac since they provide the "essentials" could have contracts that award green kits. This way a few even failed runs lets the beginner have a good reward for the effort.

I’d say watch seraph’s yt vids on the game, he gives a lot of tips and tricks. Other than that, positioning is key over everything else. You can kill purple shields with a white gun (attachments determine “color” of gun). Weapon damage isn’t affected by mods (besides some gold ones) so you can kill people with end game gear using a free kit if you have good positioning

late reply, but having two bubble shields thrown in a corridor basically puts 4 damage blocking barriers between you and the team, there's no peeking, aiming, repositioning or anything similar. The only thing players can do is peek over the other side and throw grenades, and the only viable weapon is the misriah, and this strat makes it overpowered since the downside of a shotgun is the range and having invisible walls tells you when the enemy is near. I'm ok with this kind of gameplay, but it gets boring if its 80% of encounters

there are instances where controller can be quite good.

this is usually in games with longer ttks that require more tracking.

There's generally 3 aim types (which are largely popularized by quake's gun sandbox)
predicting (popularized by the rocket launcher)
tracking (popularized by the lightning gun)
and flicking (popularized by the rail gun).

Tac shooters have a high emphasis on flicking and as such mnk is EASILY god tier in those titles.

Games like apex and halo have a higher emphasis on tracking and also high aim assist making controllers enable players to have less emphasis on their actual aim in terms of flicking and more focus on their movement and ability to track their opponents.

Lots of people seem to say wait for the wipe so you don't run into fully-stacked lobbies, but the issue with that is, those people are still going to know how to play the game even after the wipe. So you'll still be going up against skilled players early on anyway. If you start then, it'll be easier to get destroyed, whereas if you start now, and see how the game plays, and see tactics other people use, etc, you'll be more skilled by the start of the wipe. You literally have nothing to lose except your time and effort put into learning how to play the game.

Usually, I play the game as a duo queueing into trios. If we’re not having too much luck we fill for a third, I haven’t checked LFG ever but a lot of people have had decent luck getting a team together there. You should check it out. If you ever run into a teammate with good comms that’s holding up well, shoot them a friend request, it never hurts to try

Reports are handled by real people. It's not instant retribution to the reported. You may even encounter them again while the report is being worked on.
All reports are taken seriously, so try not to feel like it did nothing.
If action is taken, Bungie will most likely send you a notice in-game about it, but not always.
