I could easily see them fleshing out the pve super extensively for marathon, hopefully it’s a mix of normal pve with mediocre loot, pvpve with good loot, and raid type thing(hopefully not too similar to destiny but within the same vein) that gives similar levels of loot to pvpve

I think if they approach it in a way that rewards PvP or pve only it’ll end super fast but if they can find a good balance between everything it could be super good for everyone

I think just as much as non-extraction shooter players finding Arc, then enjoying the genre enough to try Marathon is true, likewise there are players who played Arc first and are now in their island, and cannot find themselves the time to progress another extraction shooter, so they don’t leave or try Marathon

I would love for the PvE mode to be firefight-esque and allow you to use a sponsored kit/your own loadout so you at least have to interact with the core gamemode in some way

i was actually thinking of the campaign being a prequel, we play as the settlers who came into TCIV and fight against whatever horrors are lurking there

and then we'll play from both the past and present perspectives

I don’t think there’s enough enemy diversity for pve in marathon. I would rather more story delivered through a cooperative mini campaign every season

Idk I do feel like there should be a push to learn PvP because I feel that if you don’t it can create a gear fear very easily for people who are scared to fight

Firefight mode wouldnt work in some these maps. Cryo and Outpost is too mechanically designed to funnel pvp or small that there isnt much to do a crazy firefight typa mode in.
