Steam Charts doesnāt tell the whole picture of Marathonās performance hence why itās an unreliable source that I ignored. You already know this, but Iāll further continue to prove my point.
Where does Steam charts state the amount of deluxe/standard copies sold, amount of money spent buying cosmetic currency, or even the amount of people playing on Xbox/Playstation? It doesnāt and itās such a simple minded way to look at performance. Not to mention you also donāt work at Sony, so you donāt know the realistic milestone goal for Marathon to be considered a successful project given what they had to work with.
The analysts at Sony, who actually work there, released an internal quarterly report describing the performance of Marathon. Call me crazy, but I think I trust the people who actually work at the company and actually see the numbers for themselves are more reliable than an unproven interpretation of player numbers on a singular platform.
