I think this largely depends on the player level and map.

On outpost nobody is minding their own business usually because we need cards. If I notice red cards are taken I observe nearby activity and shoot on sight for cards.

I'll only show mercy if someone comms in vc for it or is doing a quest or something.

Like I've done compiler on every single runner in the game and have over 20 clears at this point tbh. The vast majority of my deaths on cryo were getting third partied when doing things to access vaults or get to compiler.

1: buy smoke grenades
2: play assassin and use guarded exfil and the smoke cloud. The guarded exfil spawns in UESC and with camo+smoke cloud they will gun any moron on sight who tries to third party you
3: bubble shields
4: play recon and scan upon entering exfil. Find and hunt (particularly with utilty like grenades to abuse the wall hack capability)
5: destroyer shield

You need to:
A: get red cards
B: get a method into pinwheel (whether that be with thief into destroyed wing, green cards main way, or looking around for the 23 conveyance request key spawns)
C: acknowledge player behaviors around A and B and engage accordingly.

They could even add in unique upgrades that help your team mates and friend up with other solos if you so choose (though it does come with obvious risks)

you just need to know them. If you know the spawns you work around them. Legit goal number 1 when you spawn in (depending on the spawn) should be working around an enemy spawn or rushing an enemy spawn.

In regards to working around one you can play around a red card spawn for a bit and grab it if nobody is coming, if someone comes open fire. Additionally, you can try avoidance if there's enough space for that.

Check the internet rq for a mapping on the solo spawns and know em there aren't too many.

Almost every POI on outpost has the option of: yes you could in fact engage them in the open space where range and height matter.... or don't do that because you didn't bring the guns, utility, or the shells for that fight

I can get behind perimeter there's some rotations and angles you can work off of. The POI design is also solid. Its main issue is combat between POIs at times can lack cover and imo bungie should consider adding way more cover to it.

this shizz is so powerful it effectively tanks more shots than your actual shield health since panacea's heal covers more than your shield's actual max hp.

ALSO forgot to mention this but shield charges cover a "amount of hp" to regen. if you take more damage while healing shield they buffer that region a fair bit if you use a blue or a purple

Yes, the fact that we only get Night Darsh is mildly upsetting. But considering that we only got one raid every year for destiny I wouldn't expect anything different to change there.
We're getting a new shell, that will spice things up big time given that they will likely shift the meta depending on their utilities.

We have absolutely ZERO confirmation on how much the game cost to make, that 250M is completely unfounded. And guess what, they hired some big names for voice acting, voice actors, and actors in general, cost a fuck ton of money. As well as paying employees for years on end to make the game.

And ffs things take time. Animation, 3D rigging, mechanical monotony and anarchy, map design, balance changes. it all takes ridiculous amounts of time. You can't just see someone on reddit or discord complain about a mechanic or bug, go into the code real quick, and patch or change it because then something else could be affected by it and it breaks things.

This roadmap is borderline generous for an extraction shooter that isn't Arc Raiders. Is it a lot? No. Is it better than nothing from an already struggling studio. Yes.

i'm going to be totally honest with you. Darksouls if you strip away a lot of the mechanics that add room for player expression and build crafting is legit just:

Dodge and hit. This doesn't necessarily mean the game isn't hard, just simple. And in that simplicity it finds room for depth with its game design, aesthetics, build crafting, boss design, etc

The idea of accomplishment and fun for some games for me doesn't stem from beating a game but gradual mastery of its mechanics and ideas. The thing about difficult games for me is they tend to grow on me but it's not the challenge at face value that makes it so fun but the artistry and design hiding beneath it that supports that difficulty in a way that feels tangible and interesting.

Don't worry about it. I haven't been here for the conversation so I don't know what all was said, but if I had one piece of advice, I would say to slow it down a lot. Focus on keeping your eyes and ears peeled and surviving. If you do that, better positioning follows, and more kills follow. (Also, Rook runs are great for getting resources and learning maps--and they're fun besides).

Yes if you can get a few more upgrades. But don’t feel too much pressure. Just take note of what upgrades you want in the future.

Vault space, stat upgrades, shields, free daily kits and daily explosive and consumable purchases, and finally weapons/cores/implants you like.

You have control. But you can save yourself time with the track button and note which updates you went for most.
