Why do I get matched with people around my level (56) but the other crews over have players over level 200. It makes me think there is something fishy. Is there no level based matchmaking and if someone trio fills they just can’t level beyond like level 50 or so because they almost never exfil?

Like I got to level 40 quick and then after that I started to almost bent exfil. Never meaning maybe 1 in 5 times.

Maybe that’s why it feels like you fall off a cliff suddenly and that happens. There are few enough people in your region that they just match your crew with anyone? Is the level based matchmaking just for your crew? I still don’t understand it.

Blue shields I usually get from solo rook runs without even seeing a player (check each building for bodies etc). Then I roll up into the pinwheel super late and get the leftovers.

I usually don't buy blue shields or other blue stuff. Tbh, green guns like bullies n WSTRs n nades are all I need when I put a kit together to roll outpost.

The high level players just aren't willing to risk golds for loot when they'd be better served to use them in cryo.

Gold weapons, a different story. But the shields, hardly ever see on outpost. Unless they're just bored.

destroyer is really really good but i recommend recon if you find yourself getting surprised/jumped alot. It can help you build a ton of awareness and is also just a really solid pick vs all the assassins in solos. OFC you too can become an assassin solo lobbies

That's honestly just the nature of solo runs. They're borderline scary due to there being no helping from anything (unless you bring or find a self-revive). Imo, from my time doing solo runs, a decent way to get over that extreme nervous feeling is to try to get past gear fear. Or also just do low risk runs (such as only going in with a V11). If you come to terms with the fact that you can die at any moment and lose what you brought with you, it makes death hit that bit less.

That can happen sometimes, just because the game is heavily PvP focused doesn't mean teaming up with a random is impossible. There is also the possibility of loading in with people, which sucks and is a rather prevalent issue, but there's honestly not much you can do.

A tip from what I've done when doing rook runs is to note where people fight at, and come back to those places later on to try and pick what's been left. After all, rook is a scavenger, you're there to pick what is left for your own gain.

My last cryo run had two crews working together to wipe my crew. I was able to take 3 of the 6 out before I died. While I was killing them, while my other crew members were down, one of them was telling me how bad of a player I was while I downed the three runners one after another before getting rushed by the last 3 all at once.

Going after anomaly extraction as rook is honestly a risky gamble. At rank 185 you can get a lot of goods from it, but doing so will make your life hell since you're solo against trios, and your location is leaked on the map

Imo, it's a bit better to wait like 10 minutes or so to open the room, as all key rooms emit an audio cue that can be heard from across the map.
