I came to reddit (first mistake i guess but i always had mostly positive interactions there) with what i consider a fairy small suggestion - that shields should regenerate their unpopped segments when outside of combat. I made a mistake by thinking those blue and above do but that was just Triage drone effect. That got cleared up quickly.
But for this suggestion i got snide remarks calling me out for "wanting to make the game easier instead of getting better" and was made fun of for not knowing every little detail about each shell ability. Pretty unpleasant experience to be honest.

I don't think my suggestion is even that bad. If it was only outside of combat, and only by unbroken segements it would only remove the need to use shield consumables after every combat - especially for beginners and when running free kits. It would also give at most one or two bullets buffer to those players so the effect on ttk would be minimal.
It would only prevent the situations where the player would feel that much more vurnelable when running a white or green shield.
Or is my idea really that stupid?

Honestly, why not? Wouldn't really affect higher level players that much and with how punishing heal and shield consumable economy can be in the early game, I don't think it's a horrible concession. Depending on how quick it is it might be a bit strong for reinforced shields specifically tho.

increased rate is important on cryo because the map is dense and combat is usually centered around bubbles which means your healing windows are shorter. also yes bigger shields need the quicker recharge imo. if you're on a green or white shield you're usually fine to run regular charges imo

Any devs or players who know? I was on Cyro with a team. We had gotten to the final exfil, and 2 final exfils were open on the map. I went one, and the timer had started before the second. I got out. My team was in the second final exfil and in the circle, but when the timer hit zero, they didn't exfil. Is that a glitch, or can only one final exfil be used?

That decreases the total complexity as your exposure time is increased. You get more time to understand your opponents because you don't lose gear and the player pool is the same. You stare at a respawn screen and then you send it again.

Just as well, with a free kit you can get the jump on someone and kill them just as quickly and take all their stuff. In trios gear matters more, not to say it doesn't in solo but In solo the way the game is played is completely different

I was sitting on top of one of the buildings in processing on outpost and a thief decided to grapple up to me. Had no idea I was there. He didn't even have a chance to defend himself. He had a gold weapon, purple implants and backpack and PLENTY of grenades and healing items but literally none of that helped him. If he had a team we would've been in a better state because they could've helped him and got me off of him but nope. He got into a bad spot because he didn't see me and died basically immediately
