Its just a downward spiral. You do crewfills and get burned too much with your 10k loadout, you join the freekits because alot of ppl do it. This snowballs to really everybody doing it.

The problem is a miss match of stakes, a duo free kit who hav3 nothing to lose shouldn't be put in a same team with a purple shield, if only because that purple shield is in there to do something very different, and has a much higher stake in the game

If you are afraid getting skinned by the people who you have the best chances against, how would you feel when everybody else are kitted as much as you are? or perhaps even more kitted? on one hand sure, that sounds great, if you kill you get rewarded 100% BUT, if your rivals always have good kits meaning they are probably at least decent in the game, or in the worst case, they are actually good, and you have probably even higher chances of losing that match.

Thats exactly it. In solos you either pvp win, pvp lose or exfil without pvp. Thats 66% exfil chanxe. With crewfill, you get disconnectors and ppl who ignore teamplay added to those options. Now you got 2 out of 5 chances to exfil. Why throw gear away ?
