That's less common than you'd think. It was rampant just after launch but now it's a lot more varied in terms of runner shells. You're more likely to get wacked by an exfil camper than ratted out by an invis shotgun. Most of the time using your ears will save you.

If the tick rate of a game is 60 fps that means you can't do any actions with any less latency. The tick rate is the rate at which the server and client process gameplay. I haven't played solos a ton but my gun is just something I use in emergencies in solos. I usually just avoid or knife the UESC. Making too much noise will just make another solo player know exactlyy where you are so they can kill you. If you hear someone making a lot of noise, that is what you call an easy kill and you should take it. 🙂

Try assassin and if bot spots you go invisible or throw smoke and run away. When you start shoot bots there always will come another player, so less noise almost everytime means less pvp. And if quest require kill bots - try to do it on last 10 minutes. And also try to extract in overtime minute on last extraction, 99% guarantee you dont meet anybody there.

I think if there is a change it isn't SBMM. Like I stated, I certainly think there was a change on Monday to something.

Something that could cause the problem you are talking is players quiting the game, and the release of Cryo / ranked. The fewer players that stick around, the more skilled on average the players that remain will be. There were less players this weekend than last weekend even with the big new map. So it is possible that the highest skilled players are just farming gear for Cryo. That would make all of the other maps a lot more difficult.

You would expect that there would be a lot more players on a weekend when they have Cryo and ranked released. But it would attract the best of the best the most. So the fact that there were fewer players last weekend, you would expect the ratio of higher skilled players to be higher. So that tracks with the game being basically unplayable for you starting Friday.

I honestly think all of the talk about Marathon is successful or not doesn't really matter, at least for the game. We can't control if it is successful or not. And for the game to have more players than it does now, it would need to dramatically change.

We already own the game and for now it is what it is. If you like it you like it. The game will be around for at least a couple season, and probably a few years, even if subsquent seasons get far less support and are really just wipes with no other major changes each season.

I was thinking about skins — since there isn’t much uniqueness right now because everyone is playing the same shells, it might make more sense to not have just full-body skins, but instead allow customization for each body part separately.
Like skins for hair, head, arms, legs, torso, shoulders, maybe even fingers — so everyone could make their shell unique.
Something similar to Destiny, but more advanced.

It would also help to distinguish parties. For example, when three parties become friendly in the Cryo Archive, if there are identical shells, it becomes hard to tell which team is which.

yes i could do that but with rook its really hard to actually have a goal for what you want since you're spawning half way into the round and most of the loot is gone so you can only take what you can get, and usually i only end up getting some random valuables and MAYBE exfilling if I'm lucky and one is nearby and nobody else comes there.

I feel like destroyer is the most straight forward, always have a little stamina so you can dash backwards or away from enemy los or gunfire. The shield allows for offense and defense, you can take ground and peak safely around corners and use it for a quick oh shit button
