Wait for a sale tbh, its a mix of people who personally enjoy it, while others are saying it’s not worth it.

PROS: really fun with friends (always good to try and find friends on the game as well), compare to most game releases recently, there’s slightly better reception than Highguard or Concord. Bungie also has a somewhat history of making games better, like Destiny 2 (ion like it but people do and it’s been better for the game recently)

Cons: overall game is mid although it depends on who you ask, majority have said it’s been mid. I think player count is under 100k so there’s the possibility this game could Highguard.

Just my personal opinion on your question, you should always trust yourself and your money. End of the day Im tryna be unbiased.

tbh for solo boss runs use Vandal, fully charged concussion arm breaks shields soooo easy, then run volt gun to break whatever is left and LMG them down. Just clear ADs as best u can before u get it cracking with the warden. Outpost is diff tho idk how to approach it atm

With current maps I would say:

• Triage - absolutely fucking ridiculous utility, even better the more u stack

• Recon - hard counter to a lot of stuff, drone is shit though. Passives meh

• Assassin - Easy mode solo, insane utility to skip bots

• thief - insane tech, drone is really good for recon

• vandal - movement is amazing esp on outpost, but isn’t quite there rn. Probably way better with heat upgrades maxed. Going to be amazing on Cryo, her grenade destroys shields like paper

• Locust - Also really good but niche a lot of the time. Can hard carry depending on kit.

hard disagree about drone. Instantly overheating someone and being able to tell the rough location of an opponent and hitting close grouped enemies is really good. They're basically a free homing grenade.

Marathon and Highguard currently had the same release player count on release.

General point is, comparing the games release with two examples, this game has done slightly better in almost everything compared to Concord and Highguard. I’m using those two games as a set example for a shit game, and Marathon is definitely way ahead of that

The game is hovering around mid to solid, with a high chance to become really good over the next few months with updates, I don’t think it’s a bad purchase to buy it now, if you trust bungie.

It'll be fine. Numbers mean nothing if a community is strong and a game has stuff to offer. NuMarathon's got just that + a nice niche that it fits into snuggly within the Extract shooter genre. It may not be the people pleasing beauty of Arc Raiders, but it's defo not gonna just die out of the blue.

You run faster wtih the knife equipped in your hand. Every weapon has a different movement speed multiplier. The knife is the highest, and LMGs are the lowest. The rest are intuitive like sidearms being very light.

Besides triage I think every shell is relatively even for what they're all trying to bring to the team. Triage just has the wild sustain to carry entire matches.

theres always the chance the game Highguards which obviously would be a bad thing especially with the low player counts being concerning but most people hated Destiny 2 on release, now the game is fun. Marathon very easily will become a better game with time and a lot of updates.

Not saying whether or not they should remove half his stuff, but he's so strong that if they did remove half his stuff he'd still probably be really good. He has the drone mimicking item usage, the drone giving passive healing, the reboot reviving DBNO, the reboot reviving corpses, and his amp thing. You could probably cut half of this and he'd still be very powerful. You could probably make him literally just the drone or literally just the reboot+ and he'd still be very powerful.

prime is to be used alongside a lmg/hmg with a blue grade or better front sheild and the class mods that give it rapmping damage, his jump forward is how you instantly get into shotgun range on the team that ambushed you to turn with your waster then you pop your sheild and back away to draw fire whoole your team backs you up with shots , i mean thats how the destyro is supposed to be played, mg/shotty

pro tip, if someone goes invisible in your LOS you can throw toxin nades and the toxin effect will linger on their hitbox and be visible even when cloaked

ttk is perfect long enough that if you get the jump on somone or sneak on them they get punished for not paying attention and long enough if you see eachother at the same time the person who misses shots loses

Invis isnt that bad in this game. At least to my experiences. That 70 second cooldown on invis is punishing. And it aint even 100% invis when moving and it doesnt last that long.

This is one of the most balanced invis ive ever seen in a shooter.

We need option to allow us to play with people who only have mic and that have been confidrmed that works no point in a game that relies on communication if we can not talk to one and another this seems to be a one going issue with cross play.
