After playing all battle royals i was fed up with the style.I must say i gave it a go and to my surprise i did like it overall.Gunplay feels nice and punchy,as we are used of Bungie.Atmosphere is spot on,ambient ,weather effects Robot sounds,.,Enemy team footsteps are to low.Teamspawn need to change so that all teams are not wiped after first 5 min.Let us breed a bit before hell breaks out.Econemy of heals are to expensive.Ammo needs to be found more in the world.We need ammo for the cool gunplay.Progression goes quick and satisfying.Game runs smooth,only had 2 crashes,once i could reconnect so good feature added.Overall i had a good time trough the playtest ,it's a finger to all haters!Well done Bungie.If Bungie can work out the minor points ,Marathon will be here to stay.GG

Only near the end did i start realizing the true potential of a fully loaded double LMG strat with extended clip, fast ADS, and an energy shield
I cooked like 5 guys nearly single handed before my team fell apart and couldn't keep helping me
Didn't reach lvl 30 but i was right near 28
Honestly i think i couldn't have gotten 30 if 1. I had jumped into matches a bit quicker each time tonight 2. i wasn't getting mismatched with ass randoms the entire time so when i felt it was a good time to risk good gear i got paired with the dumbest ppl to walk the planet, then we all died and lost

The issue was i spent too much time in menus trying to climb the figurative Mount Everest that was the UI/weapons customization, as well as just getting paired with randoms whose idea of a fun game was to be the first to a common hotspot, make a bunch of noise and kill a bunch of bots, have some of our health depleted and then all the players who came after us mop us up

Honestly the only problem I have with the arcs is that sometimes every now and then they refuse to lose aggro even when your behind a door twenty miles away, or when they refuse to target anyone else in a fight, shredders are abysmal for that, I've had a shredder lose sight of my team an still track us perfectly to our new area going through another team without gaining aggro on them

So my conclusion of the playtest so far:

• PVP is vastly improved from the closed alpha tests I participated in
• loot actually got improved
• TTK feels less punishing for peaking the wrong corner for 0,1ms, but you still die quickly if you misplay
• runs stable on an RTX 2080
• Every shell feels useful
• dying in PVP doesn't make me avoid PVP. I never felt like I died because of heavy loadout diff or some random bullsh*t. Losing felt fair.
• loads of chances to go in low-stakes and return with good gear to then use said gear to do difficult missions. Never felt like losing gear meant starting from absolute 0.
• nothing felt like filler content

Pretty good so far, let's see how Bungie will go with this really good baseline. Pog.

Feedback, which i know everyone here will get salty at (Pt 2)

• Shields not different enough from health: i will say i think shields need a rework some way or another. Rn its just extra health, basically. There needs to be some substantial form of shield regen, or something to significantly differentiate it from health when popping a pack to fill it back up
• The Looting part of the game is pretty good: I understand the UI complaints from a beginner. Its wildly overwhelming. However, by the end I personally think this is one of the better looting experiences in the extraction genre. packs and boxes do not take that long to open up or reveal their loot, its quick and snappy even if its not all at once. The color coding, once your brain recognizes it, generally makes you understand pretty quickly what is and isnt worth it. The types of items you need for upgrades and such are relatively small vs the insane crafting recipes of, say, Forever Winter. TL; DR after an overwhelming introduction, i ended up quite enjoying the looting.
• Body mod visuals are still lacking: However, the body mods aren't as well distinguished. Every one in the same class (body, head, legs) looks the same as another, requiring you to remember their names or look at their stats/description every time. Its BAD.
• Consumable menu-within-the-wheel is painful: Cycling through consumables/throwables is pretty bad in the heat of battle. I understand it might be structured to be workable for console but i think there should be some options for what type of each consumable we want on hand. The wheel for shields, health, OS, Mechanic, Cardio kick, makes sense, but then if you have multiple types of, say, shields in your inventory, then you have to cycle through which kind via another button because it always defaults to middle when switching consumables. There should b a way for the game to remember which type of that consumable you had chosen previously, and set it when you select that type again
