You activate one before going into a mission, do the tasks on the contract, and then you get faction reputation. The story ones are worth more, each faction also has a generic contract you can grind out if you reach the end of story stuff either due to faction level being too low or you're just not confident going to the next area yet.

I get that, I've had many moments in just the slam that had my heart literally pumping faster. I cant think of much else game wise that does that for me.

I am all for that aspect of the game. What bums me out (my learning curve) is seeing faction rank and upgrades going away. I Don't think I care about currency and loot going away. Just seeing a faction I got to max go down to 1 makes me feel weird. Do I really max them out again to be reset? Idk, my care for factions if I stick around for multiple seasons will quickly dwindle.

i did like the fake flare nade in ARC, but marathon doesn't really have anything like player flares so i think your right with fake gunshots and stuff. when you say player decoy is instantly made me think of yoru from valorant and his fake clone that just runs in a straight line and flashes you when you kill it. the flashing part in marathon would be bad imo, but distracting an enemy with a clone would make for some crazy plays. afterall joe was the director on valorant, so might happen 🤣

but i really hope we can unlock more runner abilites and craft up some builds like i mentioned before, would add sooo much more depth to runners then what they have right now

But you just want to add it to the gun that doesn’t have one. It only gives you the swap prompt. I had runs where I just had to drop my one gun on the ground so I could add the attachment. Then pick my gun up. That’s gotta be figured out.
