So, I had the worst death I've had yet. I was doing a Traxus contract and had to go to the orange building to the South of South Relay. When I got there it was in lock down, all of the doors had red barrier around them. Yeah tbh they should delay the game another month and fix this stuff. Because rn im not going to buy. I've played Hunt Showdown, Arc Raiders, and Marauders.

Hands down Marathon has the worst audio. In an extraction shooter audio is everything from hearing location of shooting enemy players or the footsteps of a team running into your compound.

There's been countless instances in Marathon where you do not hear enemy footsteps at all until they are 2 feet in front you. The directional audio on gunshoots is also jank and can be confusing to pinpoint where the shots came from.

In terms of jank gunplay, you cant really change that without revamping the game and tbh the jankyness is fine. Its more so minor stuff that has high impact particularly audio .

I will admit the directional audio isnt perfect but its enough that I've gotten stealth kills on people plenty of times

i do think theres a huge issue with sound. but the more i turn up my volume the moure you hear sound cues. you can actualy hear nearbye bots if a player is standing still. but the overall sound balance of the game is god awful. not sure if its becasue the lack of dolby surround which alot of other studios use

In arc raiders sure ik its a bit weird but you can atleast hear the footsteps. Hunt showdown is a good example of good audio
