I'd argue controller is easier, but mnk feels more natural and I've got better habits for it. But you get a more streamlined way of using your inputs on controller and also aim assist. Both are equally skillful in their own ways but if you give a controller and mnk to someone who's never played either, they'll probably prefer controller
