I think depth can be added, iirc ARC just does the raw I/O which is where it can be cheesed. Given other actions will be logged on the backend, you could definitely build a more nuanced system with more parameters (revivals (in ARC context), balancing of shooting first/second etc)

yeah this is what makes the game hostile for new audiences trying to vibe with the world being presented to them. Even if you force yourself to watch D1 and vaulted D2 on youtube, you still feel like you have to watch hours of seasonal story that takes place between the expacs you can actually buy and play. Unfortunately that won't be the case. The game will eventually have people forming teams to take on the raid. The marathon ship will have alien AI bosses that require the partnership of multiple teams to take on.

On the surface level, it's 80/20. 80% of the players are forming teams to take on the mini bosses and help in solving complex puzzles where as 20% are blindly killing others. Ultimately there's more value in cooperation than none.

The more experienced PVPers will be playing ranked.
