Like bots especially if the map is super saturated with them, then where is the tension. You always know you are probably going to engage them.

It depends on a lot of factors but just to give a base line answer I’d say anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. I also can’t remember the length we can be on the ground. So that factors in also. Less time being able to be there means I want more action quicker.

If I’m running solo I’ll need less time to loot one person. Squads will want more time between fights to sort loot but could also have one guy guarding while others loot. Divy it up later.

Yeah they need to have paths you can take to avoid bots. But then those paths are likely to be used by other players more often so then the tension is going to come from which do I choose? To avoid the bots but maybe run into a player or take my chances with the bots but also cause noise and maybe attract a player anyway

Aye fair fair! I also 100% agree squads need more time, Inherently there will be more loot in play, and subsequently more cogs in the machine to get that loot out. With regards to bots, I must say tarkov has a decent strategy ( but could use some variation ). For example you can predict scavs positions ( which sucks ) but they are placed only at POI'S thus making traveling to and from those destinations tbe downtime, but thats where players lie as you mentioned. Common paths taken etc.

TLDR I hope the bots are placed with a degree of variance and intermittently not just plopped on every hill corridor and corner

Though tarkov did add the scav squads that are slightly better geared and will roam. They also added that scavs will check out gun shots in close proximity to where they are. So they aren’t always where you expect them to be sometimes.
