I would say a better way to argue against your point is to say that there are better games to compare. (I would, for example, say that Hunt is a more direct comparison due to its focus on First person PvP in the core loop, the special characters you can acquire and the fact that it has wall hacks of a sort for everyone!)

But I fundamentally agree that Arc and Marathon can and should be compared in various ways that make sense as they're both new games in the same genre.

acshually paladins is 5v5 while overwatch 6v6. It is very different to the point that overwatch made a new game to change from one number to another.

overwatch has limited role availability while paladins doesn't. this is crucial.

paladins has 4 roles instead of 3 in overwatch to begin with.

paladins has mounts, overwatch doesn't and the way spawns work is different.

and finally, the most important one. overwatch just has set heroes. In paladins there are builds.
