Durandal theorizes that the S'pht found out how to contact the S'pht'kr, but never got a chance to use it before being killed and captured at the end of the final battle. He would send Recon 54 to the bunkers beneath the Citadel to search for two S'pht computers he detects may have information.

More records of the battles, some useless, some interesting. But then more of the S'pht myths. More light to be shed. First, the names of all the clans.

And so rush they do, and they find, amidst records of the war, the key. A piece of ancient S'pht lore that cracks it open, the original story that was referenced in every terminal prior. I will provide it in full, as I quote it so often it is only fitting.

In primordial space, timeless creatures
made waves. These waves created us and the
others. Waves were the battles, and the
battles were waves.

Fleeing all W'rkncacnter, Yrro and Pthia
settled upon Lh'owon. They brought the
S'pht, servants who began to shape the
deserts of Lh'owon into marsh and sea,
rivers and forests. They made sisters for
Lh'owon to protect and maintain the paradise.

When the W'rkncacnter came, Pthia was
killed, and Yrro in anger, flung the
W'rkncacnter into the sun. The sun burned
them, but they swam on its surface.

Yrro became an angry master, bleeding for
his failure, grieving for the loss of
Pthia. He broke the S'pht into eleven
clans, and spread them over Lh'owon.

And he spoke, yet covered in blood from his
exertion,

"I Yrro, who was your master, have failed
to preserve you. Take your royalty to
guide you, and live upon the paradise that
you built for me."

And yet another terminal reveals the key to the 11th clan. A time when the S'pht'kr would return, a place to search, an exact time to search it. Once every few centuries. It was lining up with a coming date. Like fate, there might be a chance to save what was left of Lh'owon, and turn the tide on the Pfhor empire

Durandal is glad to hear this, though he fears it won't matter soon, and reports a victory of his own.

I'd have erased my seven times table to hear
what the combat technicians on the Khfiva
shouted when they learned I could focus a
particle beam at nearly twice their maximum
range.

Today I have forced the Pfhor Naval Academy
to update its curriculum. The Third Battle
for Beta Tear must be dropped from the
Seven Great Battles which every aspiring
Pfhor naval officer must memorize and
replaced with The Humbling of Battle Group
Seven at Lh'owon.

With this, he teleports Recon 54 back to Boomer, and chapter 4 ends.

so yes, jjaro tech can be comprehended* by the human mind, at least whatever era of tech they left behind in our galaxy

They didn't show much but cores are Runner specific upgrades that can change abilities and stuff. Implants are for any Runner and can do the same. Use both of these and you have a lot of customizability for the Runners. It's not like Destiny's classes but they are still customizable.

we have just discussed this at length but basic breakdown of my belief is that because shell abilities aren't interchangable between shells, this makes it a hero shooter
if it was more like The Finals, where a shell has abilities you can swap in and out, then it would be a class shooter

Here's the thing with that. Cores change how abilities can work and what they can do. But you obviously don't count that.

Again, it can change what it does. Sure it's still the same ability but it's changed. Not everyone will use it so not all characters will act the same. It will depend on the Cores and Implants.
