PvP is better, PvE is better, gunplay is better, graphic style is better, story is better, immersion is better, looting is better

But yes, the two games are extremely different aside from both being extraction shooters

I think it’s up to the individual person tbh if you like fps you’ll play marathon if you like 3rd person you’ll play arc

ARC Raiders is a good "I want to sit on my couch and relax playing a slow game without really thinking too hard" which I don't think works really well for the game type personally. I think it would have been much better as a more fleshed out singleplayer game

Oh wow, I was almost falling asleep half the time I was playing haha

I'm not even a super sweaty PvP guy but I just found ARC way too boring and clunky

Maybe because trying too hard to not shoot people on sight so always have to guess their reactions and that gets really stressful

Looting and loot management is really boring but I do like its combat both pvp and pve, I’m not even a fan of tps but still liked it

I feel like it still has too less variation in content

Yeah I love TPS games and was initially excited which is why I was pretty bummed with how the game turned out

Marathon has a similar problem with lack of enemy variety, but I assume that will only get better over time

I thought arc raider enemy variety was fine

they should have made arc pve only with missions. pvp is annoying in that game with all the shit flying around you

ARC was intially meant to be a singleplayer game I think, or maybe co-op

I'm honestly surprised it's doing as well as it has, but I think people are just that extremely desperate for extraction shooters that aren't Tarkov

Sucks that it kinda beat Marathon to the punch, but the two games are different enough that I think it should be fine

Apparently it's been having a lot of problems with cheaters in higher lobbies which is unfortunate, I know a few of the bigger streamers have quit because of that

I hate that cheating is still such a massive problem across all games

Cheating is just less invasive/destructive than it used to be. Most common these days are just ESP

Whereas back in the day people could mess up your accounts and even steal data if you joined their lobbies

But yes unfortunately people are more and more miserable and gaming is becoming more and more popular. Not a great combo

I have experienced where people think they couldn’t win a match and then glitches the match’s server in overwatch

Then everyone gets kicked out
