I can’t believe they listened to people making the game more dark and gritty. Why do people refuse modern clean look in video games? Same thing happened with Infinite when they first showed it it was clean like halo ce no scratches on chief he had that toy soldier look I wanted that look but people were like “but but reach, we want it to look gritty like reach” and then they had to Reachify it. Now I look up Marathon on the Xbox game store and they changed the cover to a darker one and they added new images as well which make it look more like a survival horror game. Now some people in here might say that og marathon in the 90s had a dark look and some levels didn’t even have lights and your bullets lit up the hallway etc. anyway I still like it and it does has a lot more detail. Mirror’s Edge still stands out today because of how clean it looked back in the day (although if you look closely it did have some grittiness).
