I mean personally uni taught me the skills I needed to make a life strategy. I learned how to logically parse arguments, how to speak to people, and honestly it taught me a lot about empathy.
I wish it was available to me free of charge of course, and I wish secondary school prepared me in the ways it should have. But without my time in undergrad I would probably have made a lot of horrible financial and personal decisions.
I think going to uni is a bad move financially for a lot of people now that so much information is widely available for free. Especially if you don't intend to pursue a graduate degree. I think that social hangups pale in comparison to the material divides between the capabilities of people. Life extension technology has a tendency to exacerbate those material divides. Especially technology that can drastically extend lifespance, and especially if that technology is limited to a small number of powerful people. Which is a likely outcome considering the complexity.
