I like that for Marathon it's mostly just generic passive buffs and not something that innately makes you stronger than an opponent. If audio cues are so strong, then it's unbalanced if one person has perks that make you silent but other people don't. That makes it basically a required skill to get, which feels bad if you want any form of genuine buildcrafting

I do wish that Marathon would lean more into actual buildcrafting with skill trees instead of just solely relying on cores/random mod rolls though

I find it cool to see how damaging an enemy in a certain spot changes how enemies will move around and function

Like your shots actually have IMPACT, and you can win engagements fast with well placed shots

PvP cant say the same thing…again, pvp doesnt feel like the games strong suit, its really scummy

In Marathon I legitimately couldn''t complete one of the first quests
