I don’t think Arc Raiders will have staying power unfortunately as good as it is. They have no real roadmap given and since there won’t be any wipes, i fear there will not be reasons to continue playing over time once you have everything you want

The reason some people get selected and not others is because it's a closed test, and Bungie wants information about gameplay from a group of individuals and their systems for their data. Bungie knows what data they're after, and as such, Bungie knows what criteria they want to base their selection on from each group that applies. Then they just have to randomly select from the people that fit that group for each of the selection processes.

This is normal, and standard, for closed test participation. It's an industry standard. The ones that caused such an issue for how people think 'closed test' should allow everyone are the companies that claim 'closed test' just to sell their game and allow anyone in that preorders, etc.

Unfortunately, it's true that opening closed tests to the public end up with a ton of players that 'just want to play' and have no interest in providing feedback. Companies still use their play data and metrics, so they are providing feedback, just not directly. They still get data. Companies understand that this is a thing, and do their selections with this knowledge.
