Performance on wilds is pretty bad. Again, not as unbelievably fuck up as 2042, but it didn’t hit expectations.

Hoping the we get an Iceborne like revival for it

If there’s one thing MH is consistently good at, it’s major DLCs

Both Iceborne and Sunbreak were fantastic additions to the game. TBH Iceborne felt like an entirely new game.

I think Wilds was an interesting idea with the open world, but there's way too much handholding for my liking

Am I ridiculous for being upset that we didn’t have homes in wilds? It was one of my favorite things in world. Gave me another reason to play/chase things.

Yeah I very much hope that makes a comeback, and also a main base of operations in general. Open world games seem to struggle with that because they want to spread smaller settlements across the map

I liked when you captured a monster and they would show up in the settlement with people researching it

Yeah those little details like that were missing. And then you could fight that Mon in an arena.

It all felt very streamlined. Not in a good way.

Hell. Even the fluffy bunny dango was more interesting than cooking in Wilds.

Not to mention the moewscular chef had progression. The more you unlocked, the more you’d see change. Even the animation changed.

Where is that in Wilds? Why get rid of that.

The game lost a lot of soul with Wilds. It’s a bummer. Not a bad game, but just sacrificed too much in the name of free roaming.

Free roaming is such an overrated mechanic I miss linear pathes
