Alright. Here's the story of how I lost my QT3.14

/> date for 6 years, super close do everything together
/> QT3.14 BF has alcoholic mom and develops own problems
/> early October 2024, bf gets absolutely wrecked and fights me/family, then we take him to his parent's house
/> he starts fighting his dad, gets his shit rocked. My family calls cops to break it up bc his dad keeps hitting him
/> he goes to drunk tank for a while, slap on the wrist fees + fines

/> January, I lose my job due to mental crisis of my own. Blow all $10k of my savings bc deadbeat alcoholic bf isnt saving anything to move out and im depressed

/> Economy goes down, get multiple $50k/yr offers but have them pulled due to will they wont they tariffs

/> go back to old job around may, told it will be different, wont be overworked

/> big fight bc he has been unreliable in my rare time of need.
/> slowly make up over the course of a week or so, he shows me hes serious, etc. Begs for me to stay and promises his heart. Goes to 90 day rehab

/> 2.5 weeks in, letter saying he doesnt know if he can be with me or if he can let himself love me again, as if I caused his problems. Hurt that I wasnt there for him for the first 5 days after the wreck ( I was scared and angry! )

He's doing really good but at the same time, not much choice when in 90 day rehab facility. He was sober for 2 weeks between DUI -> entering rehab, so he did detox by himself before going

I feel like rehab told him he was in no place to be in a relationship, and that is why the sudden flip of "i promise my heart to you if you'll ever accept it again" to "I dont know if I love you or if I can let myself love you"

Oh i left out that he dumped me via 1.5 page letter, then was never going to call me again. I got the letter while I was en route to ER for possible kidney infection (thankfully just really severe UTI and dehydration!) So I asked his dad to have him call me. We only get 15m per phone call, facility rules, I beg and plead for him to take his space for now and reconsider. He says he'll call me every week, doesn't say he loves me back when hanging up, havent heard from him since that day on 09/07.
