I think current state having 1-2 fights per game, rarely 3, is highly unsatisfying, since the biggest action/dopamine spike you get in the game are actual pvp fights

I liked variety between open spaces vs POIs, but traversing from one POI to the next shouldn't be the majority of the game. It should be something that is high-risk (leaving you on open space) yet its brief, so POI maybe need to be closer or there needs to be traversal/obstactles between them on some.

Then you arive at a location of interest, which has high potential of actually being inhabitted by another team

I think that kind of dynamic will be interesting/engaging to play

Maybe you could have AI patrolling the space between poi's so it doesn't feel too empty, add in mid range loot so it's actually worth taking the risk

only their specific zone/spot, they don't really "go out" and patrol, only the ones spawn in near crates did. And even then they don't really roam, they just stay in one area

they'll "roam" within the poi but not exactly out of it, and the ones that spawn outside of it, don't really roam any larger radius maybe than probably 7 meters or something, it's very tight knitted

tldr they don't walk everywhere but they walk in their zones

Man, if new marathon had a single-player campaign, that would really put it up there. People long for stuff like the original halo campaigns, where they were removed from the live service elements and people could just purchase the game for a good story and fun gameplay, and maybe engage with the multiplayer (in this case extraction shooter) as well! I just think the world of marathon, especially Nu-Marathon, deserves a campaign rather than lore logs and overtime things of that nature...

So with the factions, do we know how they will interact with each other? Are they just shopkeepers, or given that there are resets, will they eventually conflict to the point of having to choose between them in a meaningful way? Thinking something along the lines of influencing the story sort of like the corps in Armored Core 4A, etc

I think this is out of the scope of launch. I dont have any quotes or articles to go by, but if i am remebering correctly, the factions are basically irrelevant for the release of the game. But I know they want to do meaningful seasons. So, and from here on out is purely my own guessing, I would guess game launches, they do probably 2 seasons of hotfixing and balancing and adding new monsters/quests. Then by the third season theyll do a faction update. Thats just my own personal guess and experience with these games.

Probably think along the lines of cycle frontier factions. Different quests, but at the end of the day, the faction doesnt matter a whole lot unless youre particular to a specific gun

I dont entirely agree. The vast majority of games today that are succesful, is because they had a terrible launch, and slowly recovered over time.

They need to be better then the barebones that we saw in the non-nda alpha 2 months ago or whatever. But I dont think they need to make a homerun

I think youre setting yourself up to be disappointed imo. If 10/10 is exaggerating and realistically you mean 8/10. Thats more understandable. I personally am in love with the artstyle, so I will give it a second, or even third chance. Maybe 10 chances lol as again, love the artstyle, and extraction games. But expecting a 10/10 release is. Impractical considering the alpha we all saw. It would be near impossible to drastically change the game from that state in less than a year

Personally I think as long as they add a solo queue option for launch, things should be okay - if things are kinda rough when it comes out I think it'd be a hard sell if you also need to rope in two friends to not have a really bad time

Could also have the auto fill prioritize squad members who have the same quests, etc

Doubt it, if Sony wanted to shut it down I think it would've already happened. Even with the delays, the game is definitely nowhere near vaporware status. Just think, bloodlines 2 is releasing after like 15 years
