Naahhh there was a lot more than just some random filler assets. They studied and dissected that artists design style and used it w/o permission. Whether it was one person or a company effort remains to be seen but there was DEFINITELY a lot more than a few random assets.

no it was not? Joseph Cross takes most of his inspiration from Formula 1 Design and 80-90s Japanese Cyberpunk, go look at both those design philosophies, they're extremely similar to Marathons design

the only place Antireals work was used was in environmental assets, stolen by someone that doesn't work there anymore and was fired in the layoffs, probably for being a lazy worker

a lot of the concept art for even Destiny 1 shares a lot with the Marathon because of Cross

dude just likes that design style

(omolon is a perfect example)

Antireal also didn't invent any of the style they use

Antireals work is also heavily inspired by the things i've mentioned

the Closed Alpha had washed out visuals in exterior environments due to shaders being disabled for stability, this was made worse due to the volumetric fog and rain present on the maps, the interior spaces were properly lit and looked perfect
