As far as it stands there is no delay, September is still the release day. And even if it does get delayed, it wont be delayed past March of 2026 which is no more than a 6 month delay at best. Cuz it was confirmed by Sony that marathon is part of FY 2025 for Sony. Not to mention they acknowledged the way the game was received and have made their intentions clear that they have hope for this project and are working on fixing what needs to be fixed and addressed from the feedback to release the game in the best possible state.

The good thing I’m taking from the most recent news by Sony, is that they aren’t being delusional, they see the problems, they see the game reception and want to give marathon the best chance on release. So the fact they acknowledge the shortcomings they had and the way things are is good for the time being. Means they are serious on fixing what needs fixing, but like is said before. We can only speculate all until release, release will tell the full story (I loved the alpha, I loved the game, I’m looking forward to it. But I acknowledge that it has flaws and needs more in many areas, so definitely curious to see what they have when we see the full product)
