And they've got the STEMS from each track, not just the song itself so each player can play the part of the song they want resulting in an individual mix and mash of any songs they want. You'd think it'd sound awful but somehow every single time the bass from a7x nightmare works with the lead from I wanna get better and the drums from alien boy. And it goes the other way too, with emotes being used during concert. Riffing after kills in BR.

There's like so many weird ways it just kinda clicks and works. Guitar hero was always fun. Everything else is a bonus.

I get the desire for a single player experience or PvE mode in a general sense. So this by no means is denying that there is a large audience for those features. But there is something I genuinely don’t get. Why is there such animosity towards the idea of a PvP focused game (Marathon or otherwise). Destiny for example is a PvE game first always has been and always will be, sure it has PvP but that shit suffers BAD! Because the balancing and content is mainly PvE focused. There was mention that their intention is to approach marathon similarly to Destiny in the sense of mystery and secrets and such. As in a world that expands and keeps developing as the community progresses in the seasons and that secrets will need unraveling. So they seem to be trying to catch the essence of an expansive story, which I think if done right can be chefs kiss, that’s also why they are being so secretive about things especially lore wise. But man…….they have not communicated that well in their marketing or to the audience which is making it seem like they have nothing……I haven’t played the earlier marathons, but from what I played in the alpha and saw so far, I’m definitely intrigued by the lore, so I hope they do it right with story telling and world building.

Multiple streamers mentioned it after the NDA lift after the last reveal. And Bungie’s directors (Gameplay director specifically if I’m not mistaken) had talked about these points in the last Q&A. There was no video or audio of this, it happened during the alpha and was reported on twitter by different journalists. So Im pretty sure its still the plan as far as I’m aware

It definitely is an interesting balance as to how much should you give away from the start, and how can you give just enough to create interest and be able to withhold information just enought for secrets to keep people engaged and the story interesting

Streamers mentioned raid mechanics and puzzles on one map. The rest was speculation. The mystery components and players driving the lore was scrapped.

It's safe to assume seasons will have a theme accompanied by lore, but much of the original vision is no longer present.

Could very well be, they remain secretive on much of the aspects of the game. Although I get the intention, can’t say there was no backfire. Although regarding the mystery components, this was hinted at by the gameplay director and Joe Ziegler in that Q&A. But again, very merely hinted at. The withholding information is a double edged sword

More than anything, it’s gonna have to be a wait and see what the final product is like, what’s the full release package so to speak. Although it would be nice to hear some update soon to get a sense of what’s the situation
