Unfortunately, the impression I have is that Bungie is sabotaging PlayStation internally. It's not possible that these guys have ordered the cancellation of games like The Last of Us Factions and at the same time have given the go-ahead for the launch of Concord and on top of that, these same people are believing that a PAID extraction game that ABSOLUTELY didn't excite ANYONE will be successful. Honest take. Arc is a PVE game wrapped up into a kinda casual extraction shooter. Every run you gain something so the next time will be easier to a point. Marathon seems to be a pvp game turned into an extraction shooter. Pve elements are there but i think the general player base will be out for blood

Marathon has that sort of progression, but in the form of upgrades. Having high end loot is good, but being able to recover easier after a loss pays out endlessly. This is the nature of extraction shooters.

I agree on the point that the PvE could be better (fingers crossed for the Pfhor). It feels like the Destiny patrol but with PvP enabled, even incursions feel like public events. I’m not bothered because I like patrols, but I can see why that feels shallow. Let’s hope that lessons are learned from the Pale Heart patrol zone and the upcoming Kepler zone

My initial game plan will probably be super boring to most people. I plan on going in quiet. Getting some loot and getting the hell out. If i have to shoot my gun id consider that a fail. For reference I’m comparing this to how i play the Forever Winter. If you open fire you are dead. At least in the build i played.

I wanted to highlight that going with the middle option might’ve gone over better PR wise, as it more closely resembles the older style for people to identify with the new and old.

I feel like the maps need to be way bigger to avoid the game just turning into a pvp game. I felt like on the last week of the alpha it really was just PvP and 3rd parties. You get way better loot from winning team fights then you do doing objectives, world events, etc. I still did the main progression contracts for the lore mainly and I actually enjoyed them for what they were. But I think going forward we need bigger maps and contracts that involve the player more then just "Hey scan this!" to keep from players just thirsting for teams right out the gate.

Felt bad playing with one team of newbies and basically opened up a locked room and gave everything to them just to be nice, just for us to be like alright lest get out of here and have a team immediately come in and wipe us the second we activated the beacon lol

Schedule didn’t work out too well for me to play during the extension. So I can’t comment on it. I did however find the pvp enjoyable as someone who exclusively played Locus

This is a problem that naturally sorts itself out because high tier players won't waste their time when they already have loot better than it/they want to do the harder missions (uesc)

I'm hoping all future maps kinda increase in difficulty as the game goes on so that we also have a reason to bring in higher lvl gear and not just horde it. I heard the Marathon map is suppose to be a destiny raid like map and is endgame content so that excites me a lot to just think about.

Yeah thats what im hoping/guessing is the plan here is. And yeah the pvp is fun, but I want more like surprise engagements instead of like, people literally running across the map with the sole intent of killing you lol. Generally the sound of the Marathon being a heavy PVE and very closed quarters map with fewer player teams does sound very fun to me

On my pc the game was pretty much unplayable. Random trees would be popping up everywhere and outside nothing would load i properly the roads were see through as well as some of the buildings. I did not come back to the game until Phantom Liberty. Now it’s one of my fave games.
