Making gameplay mechanics less brutal isn't innovation, neither is reversing the stamina bar. The art is also not new and neither hero shooters, customizations or unlockable perks. Even changing maps.

I'm not saying any of these are bad, but simply having them doesnt make them innovation. Marathon is neither the first nor last to simplify the extraction shooter genre.

Well aside from their Hunt Showdown like environments, (With bird warnings, door alarms, movement based audio tiles) there's a lot of intractability thereof. The AI is genuinely a challenge and varied across multiple enemy types. Movement seems to be a key factor and has interative abilities we're yet to see.

There's mods that go on Shields and loadouts that haven't been presented yet.

Alot more maps on launch, and I assume even more guns.

I do have my own criticism about Arc Raiders though. I think PvP should be cut by around 30-40% and they should remove mid-raid respawns for joining players. I also think they should add a PvE mode.

But all in all it does make Marathon look bad an uninspired.

Interesting. I think 6 missed some important things like entire weapon types, as great of a OST as the others, and a little too much focus on stagger that makes the PVP sort of bruh. But overall I like the things it does do and it does a lot well like the story, customization, and levels. I think I would have to choose AC6 over 4A but I also really love 4A. I am disappointed with a lack of the hardcore simulation elements and debt, but that'll be fixed if the next game brings it back

But Crytek at least gave solos the ability to queue into duos only and eventually came around to boosting solos in unique ways. So there are solutions
