As someone in music industry, renting a recording studio for a few days will run you a anywhere from 15-30k and with the amount of voice lines that are in the finals it would probably take more than a few days. That being said Embark did record a few human voice lines here and there, so they probably do it as necessary.

Think of games like tarkov that are very slow and have a significant amount of friction. Having a game that plays a little faster and can catch the people who didn't play tarkov because it's 90% friction instead of 70% seems to be their plan.
