this screenshot from the announcement trailer actually highlights what I prefer about it over the game, it keeps the bright colors and simple designs but it also has realistic level of detail, you can see rivets and seams from the metal plating, smears of rust, and some utilitarian details

I remember hearing a discussion between a creator and a dev about this (I can’t recall which, maybe HiddenXperia?) about the violence level. People loved the stunning contrast of the bright blue blood from the reveal announcement and wanted the game to look that way.

When approached on this topic, the dev said something along the lines of it being a technical issue with a true ragdoll taking too much server data. Ideally, a static body would be a good option

yeah I ranted earlier a bit but I personally think extraction shooters have flawed gameplay loops, it doesnt feel like a smooth gameplay loop no matter what you do to it, usually a progression curve in a game either goes up and doesnt go down or goes up with checkpoints where you cant get lower than a certain point and you just climb and fall back to that checkpoint but extraction shooter curves are just strange to me but I could be tripping

D2 you can get better weapons, you just play the other side of the game the pve to get them most of the time, you can always play better, you can use any gun in the game except maybe the rocket assisted sidearms in pvp and succeed pretty easily, there are maybe a few weeks or months that its impossible to outplay someone because of a meta and yes that is horrible but a bad meta doesnt dictate whether at base a game is good or bade

I don’t think the title has much to do with peoples frustrations at core gameplay elements like the solo queue experience or the mouse magnetism that has since been fixed

Hunt is chalked. Like genuinely never has been a fun experience outside of visually being impressive and being worked on by a company whose legacy was Crisis and their crisis engine (which was memed to hell)
It got a rework the last year or so which improved the content flow and the actual flow of the gameplay itself but it has nothing for you end content wise, or at all. Besides events.

Arc will do fine and will be another option but I discussed it previously a couple days back that unless the game is free to play, it’s player base will rotate back to The Finals, which is still a fresh game from the company behind Arc.
