I get it. Not everyone likes PvP, and that’s totally fine, but right now, basically no one gets PvP.

imo people like a risk vs reward system, and it doesn’t have to be crazy. One thing I think New World did well was giving players that flagged a small incentive.

I don’t care what it is, could be gathering luck, 3% xp boost, global luck from chests, or anything else - just enough to tickle the pickle and add another layer of the game IF players want to.

If you don’t want to pvp, that’s fine, the “bonus” would be so minimal that it wouldn’t leave you in the dust.

Plus: adds more fun in the eventual end game 😉

I think another person mentioned a cosmetic system for open world as well. Perhaps a recolor of common armors and maybe more expensive custom outfit so people can see that you are a pvper in town. If the bonus is minimal and does not impact pve then I'm all for it. One thing could be that when you do stuff in the world while pvp flagged you also have a chance to get the currency for a cosmetic vendor. Currency obtained for slaying players garunteed ontop of doing events of course.

That sounds more like a scavenger hunt in my opinion than true PvP, but I’ll take anything!

Yeah, I think incentives for open world PvP is a great idea, even if it's like a token system for PvP gear or some such.

The best PVE game with pvp IMO is Rift, not only the batlegrounds there were amazing, the daily pvp quests were in little zones that made much more sense that in new world, much more concentrated and the rewards were pvp only, but in a way you simply couldn´t ignore the pvp coins.

I’ll even take instanced arenas or PvP modes or something, but yea incentivizing slightly for flagging in open world looks fun lol

Risk-Reward Buff – +5% XP and/or loot while flagged. The longer you survive, the higher the bonus (scaling over time). Bonus resets on death. You get extra rewards for taking down players on a kill streak.

PvP Tokens – Earned by killing other flagged players or surviving X minutes while flagged. Tokens can be exchanged for cosmetics, mounts, titles, dyes, badges, etc.

Mobility Boost – +5% movement speed while flagged, encouraging exploration and mobility while taking the PvP risk.

Faster Gathering – Slightly reduced gathering time while flagged, rewarding players who take resource risks.

Infamy & Bounty System – Players who kill too many others while flagged gain “infamy” and get a bounty placed on their head. Other flagged players who kill them receive bonus rewards.

The last part could be integrated into the bounty system and of course you cut their head off after killing them just like you do with NPC bounties

I am hoping Eden their PvP focused content is where a majority of the PvP incentives are, while they keep world PvP a fun side option with little consequences so you can have a more honed PvP experience in Eden and a more casual low risk experience in world PvP.
