So far I have a mixed feeling after playing the CBT. I have played over 25 hours and completed 90% of the activities in the current beta. I want to be as short as possible so I will be listing bullet points for pros and cons.
Pros:
-Unique and engaging theme and lore of the world.
-Combat system
-Weapon variety and skill variety is good but can expand further.
-Difficulty within the first 10 hours of the game
-Gear progression
-Life skills
-World exploration
-Expedition Dungeons (this was very good!! rewarding and challenging!)
-Party Quests
Cons:
-Walking, sidewalking, running, crouching, prone, turning animations of the player's character (and whilst on horse) and some enemies.
-Performance and optimization (DLSS, AMD FSR, XeSS are a must have).
-Camera lock (this needs object culling and better position). Camera often clips through the ground or gets obstructed by environmental objects when fighting large bosses and enemies.
-Lighting and shadows.
-Bounty targets display position. It was extremely difficult to find some of the bounties in the world due to them being spawned killed instantly.
-Field bosses aren't challenging (these bosses are getting blendered by 10+ people thus providing no challenge).
-No collision with loot chests or some other objects results in character visually clipping through them.
-Low LOD are displayed on majority of far distance objects and even on close terrain resulting in soapy visuals.
-Objects that pop in on screen. Some objects are getting displayed and rendered within 2m of the character.
-Non-consensual PVP with explosive barrels.
-Aggressive ability target tracking on bosses. Such as Thousand Piercer has a very very aggressive ability target tracking on his jump slam attack.
-Need for QoL changes such as FOV setting, UI scaling/reposition, recipe menu for crafting/processing without accessing the benches, video previews for active abilities.
-Camera zoom resets after death or horse summon. This should remain the same as set by the player regardless of his actions.
-Ranger should be nerfed/rebalanced in PVE (I cleared the first boss on lvl 3 ranger with no abilities with pretty much no effort).
-Balance for player's power or labyrinth bosses. Closer to end of the CBT I was completing most of the Labyrinth bosses without any challenge whilst having roughly the same gear score as required for those areas.
-Improve rewards for XYZ activity. Most of the rewards feel like some junk or underpowered gear.
-Some areas needs to be improved visually and have more interesting stuff to do. It's a shame that the forest looks 10/10 whilst some open rocky area looks very bland and boring.
-UI bugs and display issues with controller. It is impossible to highlight crafting materials for XYZ item in weapon/armour/alchemy benches. The inventory highlights the items description by default which blocks the view. Sometimes controller doesn't work within skill tree/inventory menus.
-No jump/crouch attacks.
-MSQ navigation and progression. It was not always clear where the player should be heading next after the first chrono gate. There should be something to navigate them into the right direction. Like Elden Ring has arrows on the map and directional light on Sites of Grace.
-Character monstrosities. It's more of a preference but I think players should not be able to create characters with unrealistic proportions. Or at least give a settings option to display everyone's character as default preset. This ruins the vibe and theme of the game.
-Hit response. Majority of the time I couldn't feel the character's response when getting hit by an enemy or boss (except when the hit had some sort of CC such as stun or knockdown).

this is intended.
You say when I'm behind the boss and he does the slam and it still hits me though visibly he didn't is OK? He does 360 at very last second
