How to get Void Matter? Went to the location on the map that the quest showed and beat the boss fight after 20 minutes so I figured that would give. Is it a random drop or do you get it somewhere else

So far the only boss I have found that drops it is the World Boss that is located East of Santove Camp in the circle.

Yeah I think that is the one that I beat, but did not drop, so is it a random drop?
Like sometimes is there a chance that it won't drop?

Unfortunately it looks like that is accurate. One of my guildies did not get it on kill either.

Yes. Unfortunate because I wanted to get a set of Ancestral but it's looking like that's not going to be worth the trouble for the Beta. But, it is a Beta so I'm sure we'll see more drops in release.

My current theories:
The event started every 1 hour after killed. i tested it.
you get the void matter from the main boss and the miniboss before it (i get multiple drop from 1 instance, not sure if the miniboss dropped it or any small minion also could drop it)
there are several occasion where i wait inside the circle but the dome would not shows up after 1 hour timer, i have to get outside the circle totem proximity and suddenly the dome appear for me. ( im not sure if this is true or just bad timing )
but also there is one instance i don't get the drop but im not sure if i hit the boss or not, due to bodyblocking.

Is this the void eye thing inside the big circlular "cage"? I found it, went inside and it looked like an attackble boss but attacking it did nothing....does that mean it is on CD??

The sphere has an “event” - first mobs -> then boss. Anything inside there can drop void matter. Mobs and boss. It’s random. For one even I got 2x matter, for the latest one I got 8x. No telling. Respawn of event is about couple hours
