Deals high damage but has low attack speed and slows you down. Probably a relatively early game weapon.
If you want to put some extra effort in, you could maybe add a parallel to Kenshi's leveling system and have it slowly increase in damage, attack speed and reduce in the amount it slows you as you use it.

the leveling mechanic could like potentially make it into an endgame weapon if youre fine with grinding a ton

Oh also, you could instead opt to use the falling sun from kenshi, as that weapon is similarly slow and heavy but with a more unique design

Macuahuitls are also made of obsidian so that when they break it can cause an infection in the wound if the target survives
