The developer of emulatorJS says the ps2 is most likely gonna be the next system so this will be possible in the future but it’ll run like ass lol

Yeah, PS2 emulation is already a bit on the difficult side even on strong computers. Considering the issues that I've seen with N64 emulation, yeah I'm definitely not seeing PS2 stuff go well anytime soon

Also, if I recall correctly, some PS2 games reach over 7 GB

And the main scope for this kind of thing does consist of Chromebooks

Which, even if not enrolled for school purposes, were made in mind for light browsing and such, usually having around 4 GB of RAM. At least, back when I used to be in school

Also not to mention that the size limit for files on jsdelivr is 20MB each, so just a 1 GB game would be at least 50 files broken up in chunks

i mean ive gotten playjs to work on my site before with autoloading rom but i ended up scrapping it because the game was too big

I tried to escalate it to an admin, but I got responded to with the pregnant man emoji before getting banned
