theres a TON of different methods

just to go from 48-55 with enchant emerald would be maybe like 2 hours, profitable, then you unlock high alch

and theres people that train high alch from 55-99, tons of different ways to do it profitably

magic isnt really quite comparable to the other combat skills

its going to cost you so so so much money early game to train magic with combat on like crabs, which is entirely money down the drain

most magic combat isnt really even done with spells from the standard spellbook, its done with things like the iban staff, slayer staff, trident of the swamp/seas, ancient spellbook

The ancient spellbook is mainly used for bursting, which is essentially aoe magic, which has a lot of good uses but mainly at higher magic/slayer levels

Really the only thing that I think you would use it for right now is blood rush to top yourself up in slayer tasks but losing high alch sucks, and you could just bring food instead of blood runes

I made the combat achievements to kill 20 grotesque guardians in one trip, with the following left:

• 0 food/brews etc
• 0 prayer
• 0 prayer pots/restores etc
• 11hp, for like the last 150hp of the guy
  I was hoping for like 10 hits in a row that he'd hit 0's, and he did

so many combat achievements done in 1 slayer task, only need the 50kc now (which is exactly my slayer task) before I stop, the speed kills are not easy with my current gear

with some good efficiency+average luck, its like a 3-5hr grind I think

average cyclops kills required is 50 per defender and 100 for the dragon, so should be 400 cyclops kills on avg

in case you haven't read yet, the dragon defender works slightly differently than the others

until rune you just repeat what you're doing over and over

the main reason not to die in pvm anymore nowadays is if you die with expensive items, you have to pay a small amount

Items worth less than 100,000 are returned for free, but items worth more have a reclamation fee depending on the item's value. This fee is capped at 500,000 for graves. After 15 minutes, leftover items will be sent to Death's Office where the reclamation fee is 5% but items will be stored indefinitely. Ironmen get a 50% discount when reclaiming items either from their grave or Death's Office.

getting them from death is a lot more expensive, hence why going to your gravestone could be beneficial

a good mid-game goal is to go for barrows gloves, a quest reward from completing all the chapters of Recipe for Disaster (you need 175 quest points for that and a lot of other prerequisites)

they're the best in slot gloves for a lot of content
