However, this week we've made the decision to end the beta for now. We're extremely grateful for all of the feedback you've shared with us so far, but with a Game Jam, external playtests and bank holidays on the horizon as well as polishing up the quest and bosses themselves - we don't feel we're in a position to make significant changes to the rewards in beta, and it's clear that significant changes are needed to get these rewards into a healthier spot.

With everything you've shared so far, we'll be taking some time to iterate and improve behind the scenes, before opening up another beta some time in May actioning many of the changes - using the extra time to put together a better offering that we feel absolutely nails it.

As we continue to refine our designs for the new prayers, it’s important to note that, in line with our new polling process, nothing is set in stone at this point. The only polls we’ve run so far are opinion polls to help guide our design work which means we very much don’t consider anything to be off the table at this point. All options are still open to us and indeed, if after further iterations these prayers still don’t feel right for Old School, we don’t need to continue moving forward with them.

I liked the new prayers but some was just stupid.

I think Most people did not like the chip damage from the prayers as it eliminated the use of it.

Chip damage is something no1 likes at all in this game and that is why shit like nex,nightmare,ba-ba,ahhka,quiet prayers invocation are all heavily hated.

Its why phosani nightmare is a way better than normal NM, because it punishes you for fucking up and missing a prayer over just chipping away 3-5 health every single hit,

Also the prayer drain was way to high, They needed to make the protection prayers same as current ones with 100% reduction, keep the overhead damage prayers as this rewarded flicking between monster hits to get more dps and then add in the new bis damage boosting prayers that didnt add defense.

While removing the ability to 1 tick an this woulda been a good book.

Making someone think they got control over your actions, which allows you to catch people as you basically have an insider snitching out every single scumbag that they dislike and want to hand over, is a great way to catch cheaters. even if that 1 cheater you are using is also rule breaking. losing that direct line into the underground of RS as someone apart of anti-cheat would hurt your ability to catch them.

And if i was part of the RS underground the last thing i would want is a rat, snitching on everyone and getting them banned. and i would do everything i could to make them look like there is corruption going on and get rid of them. but thats just looking at things objectively and not taking 1 side.
